Ellsworth County maintains 80 miles of paved roads,
160 miles of gravel roads and 762 bridges. Maps showing
the County maintained roads can be viewed on the Township's page. 

Permits

Permits
are required for any type of work in the County right-of-ways.
Permits can be obtained by contacting the Road and Bridge office.

Moving permits are also required.
They may be obtained by contacting the County clerk’s office.

Employment

Ellsworth County has job openings only when positions open up. We have
pre-employment drug screenings and monthly random drug testing.


Weather Policy

Snow – all County blacktop and gravel roads are opened starting as soon as
possible with snow problems only.

Ice – salt trucks will only salt roads (paved) when temperature reaches
20 degrees F or above. Sunshine on the salt will let us salt with lower temperatures
.
